BAWARRIOR INTERNATIONAL

DJ BARU’s journey in music began in 1997 at the age of 13 when he delved into DJing and mixing Hip Hop, Reggae, and Dancehall. By the time he was 19, then known as DA WARRIOR, he joined his first Reggae sound system, JAH BLESSING SOUND. Together, they performed at clubs and festivals in Munich and the surrounding areas. Notably, they held a resident sound position at SUNSPLASH in Rosenheim (now The Hole Club). During his three-year tenure with JAH BLESSING SOUND, DJ BARU honed his skills as a DJ and continued to refine his craft while playing for his first independent sound system, JUDGEMENT ROYALE, as well as collaborating with various other projects.

In 2015, DJ BARU founded BAWARRIOR INTERNATIONAL and established his unique style of blending Golden Era Hip Hop, Trueschool, Dancehall, Reggae, and related genres with influences from Afrobeat and R&B. The initial editions of the party series HIGHER VYBZ by BAWARRIOR took place in various clubs in Munich and during the Landshut Hochzeit in Landshut. BAWARRIOR INTERNATIONAL has shared the stage with notable artists such as FANTAN MOJAH, JAH9, D-FLAME, SHOCKING MURRAY, ANTHONY LOCKS, ZUM RAGGIDY, and REBELLION THE RECALLER, to mention a few.

During his career, DJ BARU, also a sailor, traveled the world in various capacities, eventually reaching the rank of captain. This global exposure greatly influenced his music and allowed him to incorporate diverse cultural influences into his performances.
